FEDERAL MISSION CHANGE INTELLIGENCE
FOR ISSOs, AUTHORIZATION TEAMS, MISSION OWNERS & PRIMES

See what a change means for the mission.

TZUR Impact traces supplied AWS Config changes through dependent systems, mapped NIST SP 800-53 controls and accountable owners. Reviewers get a chain of evidence they can inspect and challenge.

People authorize. The product does not.

CONCEPTUAL INFRASTRUCTURE / HIGGSFIELD

One change. Connected consequences.

01 / ONE CHANGE, FOLLOWED THROUGH

The rule changed.
What needs another look?

In this synthetic example, security group sg-001 expands HTTPS access. The change is visible. Its mission context comes from the supplied dependency model.

BEFORE → AFTER

A wider source range.

Baseline

Changed state

DEPENDENCY PATH

A service to investigate.

  3. Benefits Processing
  4. Citizen Benefits mission

A second supplied path reaches Claims Analytics. Missing owner or authorization mappings remain visible.

REVIEW QUESTION

Does the boundary assumption still hold?

SC-7 Boundary Protection evidence previously described a restricted source range. Inspect the changed evidence and Benefits System Owner mapping before deciding what follows.

Actual reachability, compensating controls and authorization-boundary implications still require human validation.

This example does not establish an incident, a failed control or a mission outage.

02 / THREE REVIEW TASKS

Map. Compare. Explain.

MAP

Connect the changed resource.

Trace supplied relationships to systems, missions, owners and authorization records. Surface missing mappings instead of borrowing context from a neighboring system.

COMPARE

Separate the baseline from the change.

Compare before-and-after evidence and surface mapped controls that may need renewed attention. The comparison does not assess control effectiveness.

EXPLAIN

Keep the source attached.

Inspect the path, source references, mapping age and disputes. Challenge the chain, record evidence gaps and export a PDF, review brief, action register and full JSON.

03 / SECURITY APPROACH

A defined processing boundary.
A human decision.

What leaves the browser

The selected scenario or synthetic JSON is sent to the hosted API. Downloads are assembled in the browser. Local saves stay in the browser profile; optional private server cases require authentication.

What runs today

Deterministic rules follow supplied dependencies and compare evidence. No language model generates the result. No AWS credentials, live collector, CloudTrail ingestion or infrastructure-write capability is included.

What requires separate engineering

Read-only production collection and customer VPC, GovCloud or air-gapped deployments are not available packages. Enterprise SSO and team roles are not implemented.

What remains with your reviewers

Deciding whether a change is significant, whether authorization records need updating, and whether a validated finding belongs in a POA&M. TZUR has no FedRAMP authorization, agency ATO or independent security certification.

04 / A PROPOSED 90-DAY PILOT

One system. One change class.
A measurable review.

Start with security-group changes, read-only AWS Config exports or synthetic equivalents, and agreed system, mission, control and owner mappings. Operational exports require a separately approved processing environment; the public workspace accepts fictional data only.

Success criteria

  • Trace a loaded change to a mission, mapped control, owner and supporting provenance.
  • Identify deliberately incorrect dependencies and missing evidence.
  • Export a reviewable evidence pack with human disposition left open.
  • Measure whether the trace can be reviewed in under 15 minutes.

The timing is a proposed test target—not a measured result, SLA, setup-time promise or guarantee. IAM trust-policy analysis requires separate scope; the current identity example is not a verified IAM-policy analyzer.

  1. DAYS 01–15Define the scope and data boundary.
  2. DAYS 16–30Validate inputs, relationships and owners.
  3. DAYS 31–60Run cases and challenge the evidence.
  4. DAYS 61–75Correct mappings and repeat the review.
  5. DAYS 76–90Document results and procurement options.

Pricing, support, security acceptance and deployment commitments require written agreement. Do not email CUI, classified information, credentials or sensitive configurations.
